Neptune Systems Upgrades the DOS with Quiet Drive Pumps

One of the best selling dosing pumps is getting a bit of a facelift. In addition to a slight color change with a darker gray housing the DOS will now come with quieter peralstic continuous use pumps in the same form factor as the origional DOS. The new Neptune DOS Quite Drive promisses to be 1.5 times quieter (4 dB) at slower speeds and 4 times quieter at higher speeds (13 dB). We didn't really understood why Neptune chose to use stepper motors in the first place but at least it's a change for the better and best of all they are not raising the pricing ($349.99).

The old stepper motors were only rated for about 700 hours of use before the head units required replacement, making the new design a better value with a lower cost of onnership over the life expectancy of the product.
