Sea & Reef, a leading name in sustainable aquaculture, has recently unveiled another exciting designer clownfish their lineup: the Tangerine Albino Percula Clownfish. This new captive bred fish showcases vibrant coloration and distinctive patterns, all achieved through meticulous breeding techniques.

According to Sea & Reef this is only the second time a hypomelanistic (Tangerine) mutation has been seen in Amphiprion percula clownfish. The first occurance was with the Tangerine Picasso A Grade Clownfish hypomelanish that we recently mentionded. This genetic mutation results in reduced pigmentation, manily noticable with any black pigmentation but also observed in the body coloration. This new designer clownfish will readily accept a wide variety of host anemones and many hobbyists keep it with the popular and hardy Bubble Tip Anemone (Entacmaea quadricolor) . As a reference the natural host anemones of the regular ocellaris clownfish are Magnificent Sea Anemone (Heteractis magnifica), Sebae Anemone (Heteractis crispa), and Giant Carpet Anemone (Stichodactyla gigantea).
