Tsugi Fancy Goldfish to Attend the Southern Aquatic Experience

We are pleased to announce that Tsugi Goldfish will be attending the Southern Aquatic Experience on October 19th, 2024. This will be their 1st show with us and they specialize in carrying for and selling exotic fancy goldfish. Keep reading to learn more about Mr. Tsugi and his business that began as a hobby in Indonesia. I've been in the aquarium hobby for most of my life and I can say I really don't know that much about fancy goldfish but I'm learning some new names for these fish and these are just a few of the names for these exotic Goldfish; Big Jelly Big Bone Lionchu, Big Jelly Clown Face Lionchu, Big Button Lemon Head Eye Cow Milk Lionchu and Red Shogun Signature Oranda.

In the beginning

At Tsugi Goldfish, the story begins with a deep-rooted passion for aquatic life and a humble start as an enthusiastic fish keeper. Mr. Tsugi started fish keeping at an early age back in Indonesia. At ten years old, his mom gave him a simple 20-gallon fish tank with hang-on back filters, one fancy goldfish, a pair of mollies, and a pair of female bettas. Since then, his interest in fish has grown stronger, and he even started breeding bettas on his own and produced hundreds of baby bettas that he sells to his friends at school and in the neighborhood.

During high school, Mr. Tsugi expanded his fish hobby by keeping a beautiful red dragon flowerhorn. When his uncle learned about his hobby, he decided to give Mr. Tsugi more flowerhorns, and in the end, he ended up with five of them. But then he had to give up all of them to his friends and family because he was moving to New York City for college.

From Hobbyist to Tsugi Goldfish

After Mr. Tsugi graduated, married, and had children, he started to look back on this hobby. In his small apartment in NYC, Mr. Tsugi had a 29-gallon tropical fish tank and a 40-gallon flowerhorn tank. In 2019, Mr. Tsugi and his family moved to NC and started keeping fancy goldfish. He found out that there were no fancy goldfish available around Triangle - NC, and many fancy goldfish stores charge ridiculous prices for poor-quality goldfish. For this reason, Mr. Tsugi decided to turn his hobby into a heartfelt mission to share the joy of keeping goldfish with others.

Our Early Days

Watching the goldfish glide gracefully through the water, Mr. Tsugi was captivated by their vibrant colors and unique personalities, bringing tranquility and joy to human lives.

Mr. Tsugi dedicated himself to learning everything he could about goldfish care. He researched extensively, experimented with different tank setups, and spoke with seasoned aquarists. Through trial and error, he mastered the art of maintaining optimal water quality, selecting the best diets, and understanding the nuances of goldfish behavior.

Growing Passion and Expertise

As his knowledge and experience grew, so did his collection. Tsugi Goldfish started investing in rare and exotic breeds, each one adding more charm and diversity to our aquarium. Our home garage transformed into an aquatic paradise, attracting the admiration of friends, neighbors, and fellow hobbyists.

Word began to spread about the exceptional quality and care of Tsugi goldfish. People were impressed by their vibrant health, stunning colors, and lively personalities. Their enthusiasm encouraged Mr. Tsugi to take the next step and share our passion with a broader audience.

Birth of Tsugi Goldfish

In late 2023, Tsugi Goldfish was born. The goal was clear: to provide high-quality, healthy, and cute goldfish to enthusiasts everywhere and help them create beautiful, serene aquatic environments. Mr. Tsugi wanted to ensure that every goldfish lover could experience the joy and relaxation he found in these amazing creatures.
