SpectraPure's CO2 Test Kit can easily and quickly detect and measure CO2 levels in your DI water. TDS meters cannot detect CO2, and although pH tests can indicate possible CO2 presence, this contaminate can only be accurately measured by colorimetry testing. High levels of CO2 in your feed water will greatly decrease DI cartridge life and will also result in high product water silica levels. Comparing CO2 levels in your systems (pre-DI) RO to post-DI product water levels is an excellent method of monitoring your systems ability to provide pure silica-free water, and determining DI cartridge longevity.
